Who we are

PROAMBIENTE is an Industrial Research Laboratory of Tecnopolo Bologna CNR, accredited to the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network, and associated with 5 Clust-ERs (Greentech, Agrifood, Build, Tourism, Urban). We aim to create innovation to understand and protect the environment, and we specialize in monitoring and remediation in the areas of air, water, soil, cultural heritage, and human activities. In 2021 Proambiente developed CO2Lab, the indoor CO2 measurement Laboratory addressed to secondary schools, whose outcomes represent the starting point of CHANGE Project.

The "Dario Nobili" Library, located in the Bologna CNR Research Area, exploits novel ICT technologies and mobile devices, for the creation of innovative services for researchers and the development of new tools for accessing, creating and sharing knowledge among researchers, students and the public.

The CNR-IMM (Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems) is a multidisciplinary research structure, where the contemporary presence of physicists, chemists and electronic engineers allowed a global approach to the problems of materials and devices. Among others, two goals pursued by IMM are: i) to increase the awareness of citizens and society of the key role of science and scientific research; ii) to stimulate the interest in science among young people and encourage them to pursue studies and careers in science.
